Move-in Details (Incoming Students)
Information for incoming first year and transfer students moving in on August 27, 2025
Move-in for first-year, transfer, and visiting students will take place on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
To ensure a smooth check-in process, we ask that all students indicate a specific check-in time using the Check-in Time Slots form. Each student's check-in area is based on their residence hall location. Check-in locations and the location of the Power Street Parking Garage are plotted on the Fall 2025 Brown U New Student Move-in map. Loading and unloading zones at each location may be found here.

Please note that all students must review and sign the 2025 - 2026 Housing Agreement in the housing portal before selecting a move-in time slot or requesting early arrival housing.
Students approved to arrive early for a University-sponsored activity, such as a pre-orientation program or a fall varsity athletic team, do not need to sign up for a move-in time slot. Students approved to arrive early will receive directions from our office in their approval notice.
Late Check-in (5:30pm - 6am)
A limited number of time slots will be available for students arriving from 5:30pm - 6am via the Check-in Time Slots form. Students who arrive during this time will check in at the Residential Life Key Office located on the 3rd floor of Grad Center E (42 Charlesfield Street).
Move-in Details (Returning Students)
Information for returning students moving in on August 30, 2025
Move in for Fall 2025 for returning students takes place on Saturday, August 30, 2025. To ensure a smooth check-in process, we ask that all students indicate a specific check-in time using the Fall 2025 Check-in Time Slots form, which will soon be accessible within the Forms process on the housing portal.
Each student's check-in area is based on their residence hall location.
