Dear Student,

We hope your semester is going well and that you enjoyed Spring Weekend. We write to you as a follow up to our March 24 and April 7 emails regarding spring closing details. As a reminder, the residence halls close at 12:00pm ET on Saturday, May 20 for non-graduating students and at 12:00pm ET on Monday, May 29 for graduating students, including those graduating in December 2023. It is your responsibility to vacate your residence hall in accordance with the above time and date.

All on-campus students must provide their departure date via the Spring 2023 Departure form no later than Monday, May 8 at 11:59pm ET.

If you enter a departure date on or before the standard closing date you will be redirected to the Check Out Appointment process to sign up for an appointment to drop off your key with one of our staff members. If you have already provided your departure date, you can access the Check Out Appointment process from the home page of the portal.

If you enter a departure date beyond the standard closing date you will be directed to the Extended Housing Request Form to provide more information about your request. The approval of extended housing requests is not guaranteed. If a department is sponsoring your extended housing you must submit an Extended Housing Request Form with your sponsor's contact information for review. Our office will send out extended housing decision notices after the May 8 deadline and before May 15.

Please note that once you depart and return your key, any items left behind when staff checks your assigned room will be discarded and you may be billed appropriately.
