Dear Students

We hope you are enjoying your well-deserved spring break. We write to inform you that group formation for students in Special Interest Housing is now available in the housing portal.

If you plan to go through self-selection by yourself, no action is required at this time. 

Please note that you will only be able to search for other students who were offered and have accepted placement within the same community as you. You will not be able to search for, nor form groups with, any student who is going through general selection, nor who has accepted a different Special Interest community offer for the 2024-25 Academic Year.

Group formation will remain open throughout the self-selection process, allowing you to form, merge, change, and dissolve housing groups before and during the self-selection days on April 9, 10, and 11.

During room selection - you will ONLY see rooms that fit your group size exactly:

Please note that not all room types listed above may be available at your selection time.

You should be prepared to change your grouping based on room availability at your assigned time slot - having a back-up plan will lead to less stress and panic during room selection. 

A list of selectable rooms will be made available when time slots are released on April 5, 2024.

Residence Hall Tours Information

• Dates: Wednesday, April 3 and Thursday, April 4, 2024
• Time: 7pm - 8:45pm
• Location: Bear's Lair (Grad E 2nd Floor)

Residential Life is partnering with UCS to offer tours of some residence halls. No advanced registration is required.

Roommate Mixer Information

• Date: Thursday, April 4, 2024

• Time: 5:30pm - 7pm ET

• Location: Bear’s Lair (Grad Center E 2nd Floor)

Food and refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP to the event by April 1, 2024 by completing this brief form.
