Dear Students,
We hope you are enjoying your well-deserved spring break. We write to inform you that group formation for the general housing selection process is now available in the housing portal.
If you plan to go through general selection by yourself, no action is required at this time. However, as there is a limited inventory of standalone single rooms, you may want to consider joining a group or attending a roommate mixer to find a housing group. More details on the mixer are included at the bottom of this email.
Please note that you will only be able to search for other students who are in the general housing selection process. You will not be able to search for, nor form groups with, any student who has already accepted a community or assignment offer for the 2024-25 Academic Year or someone who chose to live in a Special Interest Housing placement.
Group formation will remain open throughout the general housing selection process, allowing you to form, merge, change, and dissolve housing groups before and during the general selection days on April 9, 10, and 11.
During room selection - you will ONLY see rooms that fit your group size exactly:

Please note that full-unit selection is required, so a group cannot partially fill an empty suite.
Please note that not all room types listed above may be available at your selection time.
You should be prepared to change your grouping based on room availability at your assigned time slot - having a back-up plan will lead to less stress and panic during room selection.
A list of selectable rooms will be made available when time slots are released on April 5, 2024.

- Location: Bear's Lair (Grad E 2nd Floor)
Residential Life is partnering with UCS to offer tours of some residence halls. No advanced registration is required.
