    Symone Andrews

    Area Coordinator for Greek, Program and Theme Communities

    Symone joined the Brown University community as an Area Coordinator for Greek, Program, and Theme Communities in July 2024. She is a proud first-generation college student from Providence, Rhode Island. Symone received her Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Forensic Science from Syracuse University and a Master's degree in Higher Education with a concentration in Student Affairs from Boston College. Before attending graduate school, she served as a College Advisor with College Advising Corps, where she helped improve postsecondary access and educational equity for students at high schools across Rhode Island. At Boston College, she worked as a graduate assistant in the Office of Residential Life and later the Office of Urban Outreach and Initiatives. As a student affairs professional, Symone is passionate about cultivating a student experience that is intentional, inclusive, and encourages holistic development. Outside work, she enjoys reading, trying viral TikTok recipes and coffee shops, and spending time with her nieces.

    Naby joined the Brown University community as an Area Coordinator for Greek, Program, and Theme Communities in July 2024. He is a first-generation Haitian American college student from Broward County, Florida. Naby received his Bachelor's degree in Public Health from Nova Southeastern University and a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University. Before joining Brown, Naby honed his skills in programming, leadership development, and risk management while working as a graduate assistant in FIU's Office of Campus Life. Notably, he served as the graduate advisor to FIU's Black Student Union, demonstrating his commitment to fostering inclusive spaces. Driven by his commitment to equity and inclusion Naby aims to cultivate vibrant live-in and learning communities that promote success and belonging. In his spare time, Naby enjoys binging shows/movies on Netflix, exploring new hobbies, hanging out with friends and watching anime.

    Jennifer Gomez

    Jenn joined Brown University's Residential Life team as an Area Coordinator for Upper Division Housing in August 2023. She grew up in Providence, Rhode Island, attended Providence College for her Undergraduate studies, and continued her education there for a Master's degree in Higher Education. Currently, Jenn is pursuing her doctoral degree, studying Education Leadership in Higher Education, and is a proud first-generation college student! Prior to joining the Residential Life team at Brown University, Jenn worked as a Middle School Teacher in Providence, Rhode Island, and later worked as a Complex Director at Providence College's Residence Life & Housing, with developed experiences in work involving social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion. In her free time, Jenn loves to travel, attend concerts of her favorite artists, and practice self-care!

    Paige Goodwine, an alumna of Indiana University Bloomington, holds dual master's degrees in Healthcare Management (MSHM) and a master's in Public Health (MPH). Paige is committed to student wellbeing and uses her education background in student health and wellness to help shape the residential experience. Armed with a B.A. in Psychology, Paige brings a unique blend of academic insight and a passion for building supportive communities within residence halls. Guided by empathy and integrity, Paige's approach to university residential life seeks to create transformative environments where students not only find shelter but thrive academically and personally. Her strengths lie in crafting inclusive spaces that balance structure with warmth, fostering a sense of belonging.

    Despite her introverted nature, Paige's love for people shines through in her commitment to meaningful connections within the residential community. Paige believes that a student's living space plays a pivotal role in their overall collegiate experience. She envisions residential life as more than just accommodation—it's a vibrant community where students can grow and connect. Paige invites connections from students, fellow staff members, and individuals passionate about shaping vibrant and inclusive campus living.

    Caleigh MacKinnon

    Caleigh joined Brown as an Area Coordinator in July of 2024. Caleigh grew up in Monroe, a small town in North Carolina, completing both her undergraduate (North Carolina State University, B.A. Communication-Public Relations) and graduate (Elon University, M.A. Higher Education) programs in NC. Prior to joining the Brown Residential Life team, Caleigh served as a Graduate Apprentice for Residence Life at Elon and was a Resident Advisor for three years at NC State. An experienced higher education professional with a strong background in residence life and student affairs, Caleigh is passionate about exploring the dynamics of masculinity on college campuses and advancing correctional education programs with a focus on inclusive and supportive environments for all students. Caleigh is excited to help foster intentional relationships and experiences within Brown's first year communities and beyond. Caleigh's top CliftonStrengths are Restorative, Focus, Strategic, Input, and Analytical. Outside of Brown, you can find Caleigh reading, watching anime, doing yoga, or learning a new, yummy recipe! 

  • Teniesea

    Teniesea Russell

    Teniesea joined the Residential Life team at Brown University in July 2024. She was born in the Cayman Islands and moved to New York City where she resided for 19 years. Teniesea received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from New York University and a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College. Prior to her time at Boston College, she had the opportunity to be a College Counselor for 9-12th grade students where she assisted in providing these individuals with resources towards receiving a post-secondary education. She enjoyed catering her strengths to each student and advocated for those who felt as though they did not have a voice. During her time at Boston College, she worked in the Office of Residential Life in both Housing Operations and Residential Education. Through this work and previous others, she found passion in Education while incorporating her love for Mental Health, Wellness, and Social Justice and Advocacy. During her time at Brown University, Teniesea is excited to continue expanding her dedication as an educator and to college student development through a holistic approach. She loves to exercise, read, watch horror movies, unwind with her cat, socialize with friends, and crack a joke or two every now and again.

    Lori joined Brown University’s Residential Life team as an Area Coordinator in June 2022. She grew up in metrowest Massachusetts and attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell for her undergraduate studies, completing a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and STEM Teaching. Lori continued her education in Lowell, completing a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration. While at Lowell, she gained experience in greek organizations, orientation programming, hospitality and event planning, residential life, and facilities management. Through her experiences in higher education, as a student and professional, Lori has developed passions in creating transformative experiences for student growth, community building through authenticity, and fostering inclusive and supportive environments. Her top five CliftonStrengths are communication, woo, strategy, positivity, and developing. In her spare time, Lori enjoys reading, playing video games, traveling to new places, cooking, and spending time with close-knit family.

  • Léhi Valladares

    Léhi Valladares

    Léhi was born and raised in Honduras and moved to the United States in 2003 for the purpose, as has been the case for many immigrant families, of pursuing an education. He received his Bachelor's in Democracy and Justice Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and his Master's in College Student Personnel Administration from the University of Central Arkansas. Prior to joining Brown, Léhi worked as an Area Coordinator at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Through his experiences in higher education, both as a student and as a student affairs professional, Léhi has developed a passion for experiential learning and social psychology. In his spare time, Léhi enjoys reading, writing, and crossing off streaming shows from his interminable "Friend Recommendations" list.

    Sean is the eldest of 3 and a first generation college student from Connecticut. He received his Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Southern Connecticut State University and a Master's degree in College Student Personnel from the University of Rhode Island. Outside of Residence Life he has also worked in Orientation, University Access, and Leadership Development. Sean has a commitment to enhancing students' sense of belonging at colleges and dismantling oppressive concepts. His Student Affairs philosophy stems from his self- authorship values, personal experiences, and the influence he strives to leave in the spaces he encounters.

    In his free time Sean enjoys being a father to his family, trying out new restaurants, playing basketball, cheffing it up and listening to music. He loves kangaroos and collecting sneakers. If you see him around campus say hi!
