Division of Campus Life
Residential Life

Program Communities are residential experiences, open to all undergraduate students, that foster a sense of community by bringing people of common interests to a common living environment. Program Communities offer student-led programming; students within these communities organize community events and volunteer their time in the Providence community.

Recruitment

The recruitment process for Brown Residential Program Communities takes place in early Spring each year. During the recruitment, each Program Community will individually host a number of events and conduct community interviews to encourage students to join their community. Program communities have exclusive spaces within the residence hall to be used by residents to support and deepen their sense of belonging and connection to the community. These spaces include: lounge, library, kitchen, and storage.

Hazing and Student Safety

The safety and well-being of Brown students are our top priorities. Hazing is a violation of Rhode Island law, the Brown Code of Student Conduct, and Brown Policy. To learn more about Brown's Policy around Hazing and to report possible hazing activity please click HERE
