[Important] Spring Break Plans

Community Messages

Dear Students

We hope you are well and looking forward to Spring Break. As a reminder, Spring Break begins on Saturday, March 25, 2023 and lasts until Sunday, April 2, 2023. All on-campus students are allowed to remain in the residence hall room over Spring Break for no additional charge and do not need to request permission to stay. However, as the university is not closed and work will be done in many of the residence halls, it would help our office to know who will remain on campus.

To better support students staying over Spring Break, the Office of Residential Life has created a Google Group to help residents maintain communication with the goal of enhancing community. Take the Spring Break to intentionally make new friends while you remain on campus - we can never have enough! Please fill out the Spring Break Plans form no later than 9am (ET) on Monday March 20. If you complete the form indicating that you will be here over break, you will be added to the Google Group Friday afternoon and receive a welcome email.

Please note that there are a few projects scheduled to take place in the residence halls over Spring Break. We will notify students via email with the details of each project. One known project involves Facilities Management measuring windows in student rooms. It is very likely that this project will take place throughout the entire break. If your room is affected, you will receive an email prior to the work taking place.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Scott D Helfrich (he/him/his)
