[Action Required] Mid-Year Housing Form (Leave, Study Abroad, and Remote Returners)

Dear Student,

 

We hope you are well as the fall semester reaches the midway point. Our records indicate that next semester you will be returning from a leave of absence, remote study, or a study abroad/exchange program. We write to you today to inform you how to confirm your housing plans for the Spring 2026 semester. You will need to complete the form that corresponds with your intentions, either the Mid-Year or the Off-Campus and Commuter form. 

The Mid-Year Housing and the Off-Campus and Commuter forms are now open and will close at 11:59pm ET on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. You are required to complete ONE of these forms for the Spring 2026 semester.

 

Mid-Year Process -  On-campus Housing

Within this form, you will have the ability to review and/or update your lifestyle questionnaire, which our staff will use to match you with a roommate or suitemate based on available vacancies at the time of placements. You will also have the option to share your housing preferences for on-campus housing. This can include a preference to be assigned to a known vacancy in a multi-occupant room or suite. Outreach to current resident(s) will be made to confirm mutual agreement before placement. Please note that preferences are not guaranteed and are subject to availability. 

Student Accessibility Services (SAS) has established a priority deadline of 11:59 PM on December 1, 2025 to submit a request for Disability Related Housing Accommodations. This date allows SAS staff to fully review all submissions in advance of placements, ensuring approved needs can be met. SAS staff will contact you about any approved accommodations. Mid-Year Process - Off-campus/Commuter Housing

Students eligible for off-campus or commuter status can accept their status for the Spring 2026 semester by completing the Off-Campus and Commuter Form.  Please visit the On-Campus Housing Requirement Policy for eligibility details. If, prior to going on leave or committing to study abroad/away for the fall, you accepted off-campus or commuter status, you must either confirm that status in the form or decline that status and fill out the Mid-Year Housing form instead.

 

Mid-Year Process - Billing

Spring 2026 student account statements will be generated based on your response to the Mid-Year Housing form. If you complete both the on-campus and off-campus portions of the form, your student account will be generated based on whichever housing status you complete last. You will receive regular reminders from our office to ensure you meet the posted deadline of November 12, 2025 at 11:59pm ET. If we are unable to determine your status by the deadline, your spring student account statement may be incomplete.

Please note that residence halls open for new and returning students on Saturday, January 17, 2026. More information about opening, as well as early arrival housing, will be available later this semester.
