Residential Peer Leader (RPL) Selection: 2008-2009

Thank you for your interest in the Residential Peer Leader (RPL) Position for the 2008-2009 academic year!

The RPL position at Brown University is an exciting and rewarding experience. You will develop organizational skills, leadership opportunities, good communication with individuals & groups, and a sense of teamwork. This position will give you hands-on experience that will not only look great on your resume, but also enhance your understanding of the human experience.

Please familiarize yourself with the RPL job descriptions (RC, WPC and CA) and take a few moments to talk with several (4 or 5) current RPLs about their experiences as and choice to become a part of the Residential Life team.

In order to be selected as an RPL, you must be in good academic and judicial standing with the University. Also, RPL candidates who are selected to become RPLs are required to return early for the fall and spring semesters to complete Residential Life Staff Training.

Please complete the application form, answering all of the questions, and distribute the recommendation forms. At least one of your references should be a Brown University staff member, faculty member, or administrator. We also encourage references from current or past members of the student staff for Residential Life.

All application material (application form, answers to questions, recommendation forms) should be submitted to Natalie Basil, Residential Life, Box 1864 no later than Friday, February 22, 2008.

The RPL interview process will take place between February 27-March 7, 2008 Upon completion of the application, please sign up for and RPL interview in the Residential Life Office, Wayland Arch.
