DEADLINE for New Student Questionnaires. Incoming freshmen and transfer students should submit a New Student Questionnaire (which includes their roommate and housing preferences) prior to this date. Deadline for Summer Waitlist Applications

First-year student move in

First-year students are expected to move into their rooms between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on this, the first day of Orientation. No exceptions for earlier arrival will be made.

Continuing students are expected to move into their rooms August 31 - September 3, 2008. The Office of Residential Life will be open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on August 31. Normal business hours resume on September 1, 2008. More information on the early arrival process will be available soon.

Semester I classes begin

All residents should have picked up keys to their room by this date. Failure to pick up keys may result in loss of specific room assignment. Please contact Res_Life@brown.edu if you plan to arrive after this date.

Deadline for Spring Waitlist Applications

DEADLINE for Spring Waitlist Applications. The Waitlist application can be found at https://reslife.brown.edu/forms/.

Residence halls close for Winter Break at noon

Students are required to vacate their rooms 24 hours after their last final or by noon on this day. Residence hall buildings are closed and locked during the break; students' card access will not work. If international residence or circumstance will prevent you from leaving campus during this time, please arrange to sublet from a student living in either Graduate Center or Miller Hall. Once you have made such arrangements, both students must complete the Winter Break Housing Sublet Agreement available in the Office of Residential Life or online at http://reslife.brown.edu/forms. Residence halls reopen

Students may move in for spring semester. Card access will allow entrance to residence halls. Students may pick up and sign for new keys at our office between 10am-8pm (1/17 and 1/18). If it is absolutely necessary for you to arrive prior to January 17, 2008, you must submit an early arrival request. Please use the spring early arrival online request system found at http://reslife.brown.edu/forms.

Residence halls close for Summer Break at Noon

Students who are not graduating are required to vacate their rooms 24 hours after their last exam, but not later than May 16, 2008 at noon. We must very quickly clean and prepare the rooms to be occupied as housing for Commencement and Reunion Guests.
